A top-down battle royale against 20 bots. Loot weapons, hide in bushes and stay inside the shrinking zone until you are the last one standing.

Zone.io is a fast top-down battle royale that fits into a few minutes. You drop into a wide meadow alongside 20 named bots, each starting with only a pistol. Scattered loot hides SMGs, shotguns, rifles and snipers in common, rare and epic grades, plus medkits and armor. Every match plays out differently because the map, the loot and the zone path change each time.

The safe zone shrinks in six phases, each one hurting more if you are caught outside, so you are always weighing a fight against a run for the next circle. Bots loot, roam, rotate with the zone, fight each other, retreat when hurt and race for the mid-game supply drop full of epic gear. Bushes hide you from distant enemies, trees and rocks block bullets, and an early knockout in the first 45 seconds gives you one free redeploy. Placement and eliminations earn XP that raises your rank, unlocking perks such as Swift Boots, Kevlar Vest, Field Medic, Eagle Eye and Quick Hands, plus the Autumn Woods and Snowfield maps. Higher ranks also make the bots aim better.

It suits players who want the tension of a survival shooter without a long match. Tip: grab a better weapon before taking fights, and move toward the white circle early.

How to play

Survive until you are the last one standing. Walk over medkits and armor to use them, and take better weapons you find. Shoot other players and stay inside the safe zone: being outside drains your health, more with every phase. Score comes from eliminations, placement and a big bonus for winning.
