Word Chain Sprint
Chain words where each one starts with the last letter of the previous word. Duel computer rivals in turn-based matches or race a 60-second sprint, with unlockable categories and a daily theme.
Word Chain Sprint is a quick-thinking word game: every word you play must start with the last letter of the one before it. Type a word of three or more letters that has not been used yet and the chain moves on. Pick words that end on awkward letters like X, Z or K and you land a trap ending, earning bonus points while making the next player's turn harder.
In Duel mode you take turns against a computer rival. Run out of time on your turn and you lose a heart; empty their hearts and you win the match and face a tougher rival with a shorter clock and a smarter vocabulary that hunts for trap endings. Sprint mode is a 60-second solo race where each word adds a couple of seconds, long words add more, and a skip button swaps the starting letter if you get stuck. Words that match your active category score double, and new categories such as Animals, Food and Travel unlock as you level up. The daily theme sprint has its own category and a streak that rewards coming back each day.
Earn XP, coins and daily goals, and spend coins on word hints, an extra heart, longer turns and more. On a phone you get an on-screen keyboard. Tip: when you can, end on a rare letter, but save a safe ending for when your clock is low.
How to play
Type a word starting with the highlighted letter and press Enter. Words need 3+ letters and cannot repeat. In Duel, run out of time and you lose a heart; empty your rival's hearts to win. In Sprint, chain as many words as you can before the clock hits zero.
Controls
- Keyboard: Type letters, Enter submits, Backspace deletes
- Touch: Use the on-screen keys; HINT and SKIP buttons
- Mouse: Click the on-screen keys or the HINT and SKIP buttons
- Esc: Pause
- Tab: Mute
- R: Restart from the results screen
