Volleyball Spike
An indoor 2-on-2 volleyball game against the computer: bump, set and time the spike, block at the net and win your way through five tournament cups.
Volleyball Spike is an indoor volleyball game where timing decides every rally. You control one player on a two-person team, with a computer teammate, against two computer opponents. Each side gets three touches: bump the serve, set the ball for your partner or yourself, then jump and press the hit button as the ball comes down to spike it across the net. Press just before contact for a perfect bump, set or spike, and hold toward the net or away from it to choose a short tip or a deep drive.
Matches are played as rally-scored games with a win-by-two rule. Each of the five cups, from the friendly Rec League Cup to the World Series, is a three-round bracket of quarterfinal, semifinal and final, and the opponents get faster, serve harder and block more often as you climb. Losing a round simply lets you rematch it. Blockers at the net can stuff a spike, so mix up your attacks, and watch the shadow and landing marker to position your receive.
Wins earn stars, coins and rank XP that unlock new cups and team colors, and the shop sells jump, speed, spike power and timing upgrades. A daily match adds a rule twist like low gravity or a tall net, with goals and a streak bonus to keep you playing. It suits fans of quick arcade sports with real skill. Tip: set the ball high and jump early, then hit as it reaches the top of your reach.
How to play
Move with the arrow keys or on-screen buttons, jump, and press Hit to bump, set and spike. You get three touches per side. Press Hit just before the ball reaches you for a perfect touch, and jump then hit to spike. Win the game, then win the cup.
