Voidbreak is a fast, flashy arena shooter that runs right in your browser. You are a lone pilot aboard a derelict orbital station hanging above a giant ringed planet, and the station's machines have gone rogue. Every arena has multiple levels, catwalks, jump pads and huge windows out into space, so fights happen up high and down low.
Movement is the heart of the game. Sprint, double jump, air dash, slide and slam, and fire the Scatter Cannon at the floor to blast yourself into the air. Each enemy plays differently: hover drones strafe and lob glowing orbs, skittering crawlers rush you, shielded Bulwarks must be flanked, seeker orbs explode, and sniper turrets paint you with a laser before they fire. Every fifth wave the towering Warden arrives with three phases to survive.
After each wave you choose one of three upgrades, such as ricochet rounds, health on every kill or a dash that resets when you score a kill, so every run builds differently. Four weapons, the Pulse Carbine, Scatter Cannon, Arc Lance and Rail Driver, each change how you play, and a gravity grenade pulls whole groups together.
Every run earns XP that levels up your pilot and unlocks weapons, two more arenas and weapon skins. A new daily challenge with a special twist, such as low gravity or rail-only, arrives every day.
How to play
Click Play to lock your mouse and start. Move with WASD or the arrow keys, look with the mouse and fire with the left button (hold it to charge the Rail Driver, release to fire). Press Space to jump and again in mid-air to double jump, Shift in mid-air or E to dash, C to slide and Q to throw a gravity grenade. Switch weapons with 1 to 4 or the mouse wheel, reload with R and zoom with the right button. Clear each wave, pick an upgrade, and keep your combo going for a higher score. Press P or Esc to pause and M to mute. On a touchscreen, use the left stick to move, drag on the right side to look and tap the on-screen buttons.
