Turf.io
Paint the map in a territory io game: leave your turf, loop back to claim the land inside, cut rival trails and finish the four-minute match with the biggest share of the map.
Turf.io is a territory-grabbing io game on a sunny sheet of graph paper. You start with a small square of color. Step outside it and you leave a trail behind you; steer back into your own turf and every cell your loop encloses becomes yours with a satisfying pop. Twelve named bots are doing the same thing all around you, and the live leaderboard shows exactly what percentage of the map each of you owns.
The catch is that your trail is your weak spot. If a rival crosses it while you are out, you are knocked out, and the same goes for running into your own line. You can turn that around too: cut a bot's trail for a 250 point KO, or enclose land while a rival is still drawing inside it. Bots wander, hunt exposed trails, retreat when threatened and grow bolder as the clock runs down. Lightning pickups give a short speed burst and shield pickups absorb one cut. Survive the four-minute match for a placement bonus, or paint half the map for an instant Domination win.
Every match earns XP that unlocks new head skins and perks such as a bigger starting base, a head start boost and a starting shield. Tip: take many small, quick bites near home early on, and only go for big loops when no one is close to your trail.
How to play
Steer your square out of your colored turf to draw a trail, then return to your turf to claim everything the loop encloses. If another player touches your trail, or you cross your own trail, you are out. Cut rival trails for KOs, collect lightning for speed and shields to survive one cut. Own the most land when the four-minute timer ends, or reach 50% of the map to win outright.
