Train Mystery Express
A cartoon whodunit on a moving train. Search six carriages, interview animal passengers, collect clues with a magnifying glass, master key and UV lamp, then use the deduction board to name the culprit, method and motive.
Train Mystery Express is a cozy detective game set on a cartoon steam train full of animal passengers. A treasure has been stolen, and you play the inspector who walks the length of the train, searching dining, lounge, sleeper and baggage carriages for clues. Talk to a badger, a penguin, a walrus and other suspects, read their alibis and witness statements, and keep track of everything in your notebook.
Each of the three story cases adds more suspects and new detective tools. The magnifying glass reveals tiny clues like a thread caught on a latch, the master key opens locked compartments, and the UV lamp shows hidden writing. Scarf colour, paw prints and the item a suspect carries narrow the field on the deduction board, and showing the right evidence to the guilty passenger can make them confess. When you are ready you accuse a suspect and choose how they did it and why. Wrong accusations cost points, hints cost tokens, and finishing quickly earns a bonus.
The mystery is a good fit for fans of detective puzzle games, logic puzzles and point and click adventures who like gentle, unhurried play on desktop or phone. Your progress autosaves, and a brand new randomly built daily case gives you a fresh mystery every day. Tip: interview everyone before accusing, because a small alibi detail often rules out your favourite suspect.
