Sumo.io is a slippery physics brawler on a round ice floe in the middle of a chilly sea. Twelve round sumo critters start every round on the ice, and the goal is simple: be the last one still standing. Bump rivals with your body, or hold the dash button to charge up and slam into them for a much bigger shove. Ice keeps everyone sliding, so momentum, angles and timing matter more than raw speed.
Fish make you heavier and harder to push, golden fish add a lot of weight at once, chili peppers give you rapid, extra-strong dashes for a few seconds, and anchors make you almost immovable for a short time. Every few seconds the outer ring of the floe cracks, flashes red and breaks off into the sea, so the arena keeps getting smaller. From round three, gusts of wind sweep across the ice, and the bots get bolder and smarter each round. Points come from your finishing place each round plus five for every rival you shove into the water, and the tournament lasts five rounds.
Tournaments earn XP that unlocks new costumes such as beanies, horns and crowns, plus perks like a thicker coat, faster dash recovery and grippier boots. Tip: stay near the middle, let rivals tire themselves out at the edge, and dash at enemies from the center side so they fly outward.
How to play
Push the other sumo critters off the ice floe. Move to bump rivals, or hold dash to charge and release to slam into them. Eat fish to gain weight, grab peppers for strong dashes and anchors to stand firm. The floe shrinks over time and wind blows from round three. Earn points for your finishing place and for each rival you shove into the sea; the best total after five rounds wins the tournament.
