Star Miner is an idle clicker game set in front of a giant copper asteroid drifting through a warm purple nebula. Tap the asteroid to crack off chunks of golden ore, land critical hits for ten times the haul and spend your riches on an ever-growing fleet of automatic miners. Watching the numbers climb is relaxing and rewarding.

You start with humble Mining Drones and build up to Laser Drills, Plasma Excavators, Gravity Siphons and the mighty Star Forge. Each miner costs more than the last, so bulk-buy buttons help you scale up. New upgrades unlock as you own more miners and mine more ore, 40 awards each boost production, and passing comets can be caught for big bonuses, including a short ore frenzy. Once you have mined a billion ore in a run, you can go Supernova: reset your empire in exchange for permanent stardust that makes every future run faster.

This free online incremental game is perfect for players who like long-term progression and checking in throughout the day, on desktop or mobile. Your miners keep working while you are away, for up to eight hours. Tip: check the Upgrades tab every time you buy miners, since upgrades usually boost income far more than another miner.

How to play

Mine ore and grow an automated mining empire. Click or tap the asteroid (or press Space) to mine, and spend ore on miners that produce ore every second; buy in bulk with the x10, x100 and Max buttons or keys 1-8. Buy upgrades as they unlock and click passing comets for bonuses. There is no game over. After mining a billion ore in a run, go Supernova to reset for stardust that permanently boosts production.
