Spelling Hive

A honeycomb word-finding puzzle: spell as many words as you can from seven letters, always using the golden center one, and climb a rank ladder from Egg to Queen Bee with a new daily hive.

Spelling Hive is a relaxing honeycomb word game. Seven letters sit in a hexagon cluster, one of them in the golden center, and your job is to spell as many words as possible. Every word needs at least four letters, can reuse letters as often as you like, and must contain the center letter. Somewhere in the hive hides a pangram, a word that uses all seven letters, worth a big bonus.

Short words score one point and longer words score their length, so hunting for big words pays off. Your points are measured against everything findable in the hive and move you up a nine-step rank ladder from Egg through Worker and Honeycomb to Queen Bee. Quick successive words build a combo that boosts coin rewards. Play the practice hive at your own pace, take on the three-minute Blitz once you reach level 3, or tackle the daily hive, which is the same for everyone each day and keeps a streak going.

Between runs you earn XP, coins and three daily goals. Spend coins on Bee Hints, the Letter Radar that counts remaining words by starting letter and length, and upgrades, and unlock six colour themes as you level up. Tip: hit the shuffle button whenever you stall, because a new arrangement often reveals words you missed, and look for common endings like -ING, -ED and -ER first.

How to play

Tap hexagons or type to spell words of 4+ letters that include the golden center letter, then press Enter. Longer words score more and a pangram using all seven letters adds a big bonus. Climb the rank ladder toward Queen Bee, shuffle when stuck, and tap Finish when you are done.
