Shuffleboard Slide
Slide weights down a waxed table against the computer. Read wax patches, knock rival pucks into the gutter, hang one over the edge for four and climb five table ladders.
Shuffleboard Slide is a table shuffleboard game with proper sliding physics. Each frame you and your rival take four shots apiece, sliding metal pucks the length of a waxed wooden table toward the scoring zones. Drag back from your puck and release to shoot: the farther you pull, the farther it travels, and a dotted guide shows where it will stop. Land in the one, two or three zone, or let a puck hang over the end of the table without falling for a four-point shot.
Only the pucks that finish ahead of your rival's best one score, so every shot is both attack and defence. Pucks collide like billiard balls, which lets you knock a rival out of the zones, off the end or into the gutter, and the shooter who goes last often decides the frame. Each of the five tables, from the sticky Dockside Pub to the slick, warped Champion Deck, is a three-match ladder, with wax patches that speed pucks up or slow them down, and a sideways tilt on the later tables. Coins buy a longer shot guide, finer aim, wax mastery and rail guard, and a daily match brings a new table twist with a streak bonus.
It suits players who like billiards, curling or any game of careful touch. Tip: read the wax before every shot, and use a hard shot to clear a blocker only when you can keep your own puck on the table.
How to play
Drag back from your puck and release, tap SHOOT, or use the keys to slide a puck up the table. After eight shots, pucks beyond your rival's best puck score 1 to 4 points by zone. Reach the target score to win the match and move up the ladder.
Controls
- Mouse / touch: Drag back from your puck and release to shoot; tap the shooting line to move the puck
- Up / Down: Move the puck along the shooting line
- Q / E or A / D: Aim left or right
- W / S or Left / Right: Change shot power
- Space: Shoot (or tap the SHOOT button)
- P / M / R: Pause, mute, restart
