Every run is a brand-new path, and the lanes get busier the further you go. Cars, trucks and trains will squash you, the river swallows you unless you land on a log or lily pad, and riding a log off the edge sweeps you away. When the red railway light flashes, a fast train follows a moment later. You cannot stand around admiring the view, because the screen keeps creeping forward and catches anyone who waits too long.
This free online road crossing game is great for quick sessions and for players of any age, with keyboard controls on desktop and tap or swipe controls on mobile. Your score is the furthest row you reach. Coins you collect are saved and unlock new hoppers: a frog, a robot, a kitty and a spooky little ghost. Tip: watch the gaps in traffic one lane ahead before you hop, so you never land in a lane with nowhere safe to go next.
How to play
Hop as far forward as you can without getting hit. Cars, trucks and trains squash you, water drowns you unless you land on a log or lily pad, and logs can carry you off the edge. The camera keeps moving, so hesitating too long also ends the run. Your score is the furthest row reached, and coins unlock new characters. Hop with the arrow keys or WASD, press Space to hop forward, or tap and swipe on touch screens.
