Riddle Word Clues is a fill-in-the-answer game built from riddles and crossword-style clues. Each card gives you a category, a clue and the number of letters. Some clues are classic riddles such as "I have keys but I cannot open a single door", and others are short definitions like a crossword. Type the answer into the boxes, but be quick: the answer slowly gives itself away by dripping a new letter into its boxes every few seconds, and the fewer letters you needed, the more points you score.
A wheel of eight rotating categories runs along the top, from Animals and Food to Science, Sports and Arts. Forty puzzle books of eight clues start with easy answers and grow to long, tricky ones with faster drips. Three wrong tries or a timeout cost a heart, a hint first removes nine letters that are not in the answer and then reveals letters, and a pass skips a clue without a penalty. The Daily Clues set is the same for everyone, changes theme each day, from Riddle Day to Crossword Day and single-category days, and keeps a streak counter. Endless Wheel unlocks at level 2 and keeps the clues coming until your hearts run out.
Solve clues to earn Bronze, Silver and Gold badges for every category, with bonus coins. Spend coins and experience on six themes and upgrades such as a slower drip, spare hearts and free passes. Tip: read the category first, it narrows the answer a lot.
How to play
Read the clue and type the answer into the boxes. Letters drip in over time, so quicker answers score more. When all boxes are full the answer is checked; three wrong tries, a timeout or a pass ends the clue. Use hints and passes when stuck, and keep an eye on your hearts.
