Rampart Archer
Defend a snowy castle wall with a longbow: drag back to aim arcing arrows at soldiers, ladder crews, wyverns and catapults, then pick a new upgrade after every wave.
Rampart Archer is a wall-defense archery game set on a snowy winter battlefield. You stand on the battlements with a longbow while an army marches toward your gate. Drag back anywhere and let go: power and angle come from your pull, a dotted arc previews the flight, and gravity does the rest. Arrows stick in the snow, pin enemies and can pierce through a whole line of soldiers.
Each wave is bigger and faster. Foot soldiers hack at the wall, shield bearers block flat shots so you must lob arrows over the top, ladder crews climb the stones and breach for heavy damage, green wyverns swoop in to scorch the battlements, and catapults lob boulders you can shoot out of the air. Headshots score double, quick kills build a x5 multiplier, and every few kills loads an exploding fire arrow. After each wave you choose one of two upgrades: twin shot, quick draw, bodkin tips that pierce, a pitch barrel for more fire arrows, boiling oil for attackers at the wall, or repairs and reinforcement.
This bow-and-arrow defense game suits players who enjoy physics aiming and building a run through upgrade choices. Your best wave earns a saved rank, from Recruit to Legend of the Keep. Tip: deal with ladder carriers first, because one breach costs more wall than a dozen sword blows.
How to play
Drag back and release to shoot an arrow; the longer the pull, the farther it flies. Stop the enemy army before it destroys your wall. Shield bearers block flat shots, so arc arrows down onto them. Kill ladder carriers before they climb, and shoot catapult boulders out of the air. Every few kills readies an exploding fire arrow, and each cleared wave lets you pick an upgrade. The game ends when the wall's health reaches zero.
Controls
- Mouse drag / touch drag: Pull back and release to shoot
- Up / Down: Raise or lower the aim
- Left / Right: Lower or raise the power
- Space: Fire with keyboard aim
- Click / tap a card, or 1 / 2: Choose an upgrade between waves
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute sound
- R: Restart
