Pool 8-Ball
Top-down 8-ball pool against five computer rivals. Line up shots with the aim guide, add follow, draw or side spin, avoid fouls and sink the 8 to win.
Pool 8-Ball is a top-down billiards game on a teal felt table with walnut rails and brass pockets. Every ball follows real collision physics: cut angles, rebounds off the cushions, and the cue ball deflecting along the tangent line after contact. A dashed aim guide shows the ghost ball where the cue ball will strike, the direction the object ball will travel, and a red cross when you are about to hit the wrong ball first.
The rules are proper 8-ball. Break the rack, claim solids or stripes with your first legal pot, clear your group and then sink the 8. Scratches, hitting nothing, touching the wrong group first or failing to reach a rail all count as fouls and hand your opponent ball-in-hand, while you get the same chance to place the cue ball anywhere when they slip. Pot the 8 early and you lose the frame. Top spin makes the cue ball follow through, back spin draws it back, and side spin bends its path off the cushions.
You face five rivals in a row, from a shaky beginner to a near-flawless professional who rarely misses. Frames won are saved and unlock better cues with longer guide lines and a spin path preview. It suits anyone who likes a thoughtful physics sports game. Tip: plan where the cue ball stops, not just the pot.
How to play
Break, then pot balls from your group (solids 1-7 or stripes 9-15, decided by your first legal pot) and finally the 8-ball. Aim at the table, set power, and shoot; keep shooting while you pot your own balls. Fouls (scratching, hitting no ball, hitting the wrong group first, or no ball reaching a rail) give your opponent ball-in-hand. Potting the 8 before your group is cleared, or with a foul, loses the frame. Win a frame to face the next of five rivals; losing a frame ends the run.
