Pixel Quest is a retro dungeon crawler that sends you, sword in hand, into a dungeon that is different every time you play. Each floor is a fresh maze of torch-lit rooms hiding a key, a treasure chest and a locked door leading deeper down. It blends quick action combat with the roguelike thrill of never knowing what comes next.
Bounce slimes back with a mighty swing, swat erratic bats out of the air and outsmart skeleton archers who keep their distance and fire arrows. Every fifth floor a towering guardian blocks the way, and the trick is to strike when it slams dazed into a wall. Chests hold sword upgrades, extra heart containers and armor that soaks up hits, while enemies drop gold, gems, hearts and potions. The deeper you go, the tougher the floors become.
This free online dungeon adventure is for players who love pixel art, randomly generated levels and seeing how far a single run can go. Play with the keyboard on desktop or a virtual stick and buttons on mobile. Your score is your gold plus 100 points for each floor reached. Tip: save potions for boss floors instead of drinking them at the first scratch, since they are your only emergency heal.
How to play
Explore each floor, find the golden key and bring it to the locked door to open the stairs down. Open chests for upgrades and collect gold, gems, hearts and potions from enemies. Your score is your gold plus 100 points per floor reached, and the run ends when you lose your last heart. Move with WASD or the arrows, swing your sword with Space or J and drink a potion with Q or K. Touch players use a left stick and buttons.
