Ninja Dash Run
Sprint across a bamboo village's rooftops as a nimble ninja. Double jump gaps, wall-run up towers, slash foes and deflect arrows, beat kite bandits and buy upgrades with your coins.
Ninja Dash Run is an endless side-scrolling ninja runner set over the tiled rooftops of a sunny bamboo village. Your ninja runs on his own, so the whole game is timing: jump and double jump across gaps between houses, run straight into tall towers to sprint up their walls, and swing your sword at anything in the way. Every slash can cut down a guard, pop a spiky lantern or knock an arrow or shuriken back the way it came.
The run speeds up the farther you go, and the village fills with new trouble: spear guards, archers who aim ahead of you, shuriken throwers, spike traps and bamboo scaffolds over wide drops. Defeating a foe in mid-air restores your double jump, so a chain of air kills can carry you across a gap. Every 800 meters or so a kite bandit swoops overhead and drops bombs; slash a bomb at the right moment to send it flying back into the kite. The sky slowly turns from morning mint to sunset as your distance climbs.
A good fit for fans of endless runners and reflex platformers. Coins carry over between runs and buy extra hearts, a stronger coin magnet, longer wall runs, a sharper blade, a shadow dash, triple jump, a spirit shield and a once-per-run revive. Tip: jump just before a tower so the wall run carries you over the top.
How to play
Your ninja runs automatically. Jump over gaps (press again in mid-air to double jump) and run into tall walls to wall-run up them; if a wall is too tall, jump first. Slash enemies to defeat them and slash arrows, shurikens and kite bombs to deflect them. Landing on an enemy from above also stomps it. Spikes, enemies, projectiles and falling off the rooftops each cost a heart, and the run ends when your hearts run out. Your score is distance plus coins and defeated foes; spend coins on the Upgrades screen.
Controls
- Space, W, Up or Z: Jump (hold for higher, press again to double jump)
- J, X, K or Right: Slash
- Shift, L, C or Down: Shadow Dash (after unlocking)
- Mouse: Click the left half to jump, the right half or right-click to slash
- Touch: Tap the left side to jump, the right side to slash; DASH button once unlocked
- U / 1-9: Open upgrades / buy an upgrade
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
- R: Restart
