Nine Men's Morris
The medieval mills game on a parchment board: place, slide and fly your men, form mills to capture, and beat seven tavern rivals or a friend, with a new daily twist every day.
Nine Men's Morris is the medieval mills game played on three nested squares joined by lines. Each player has nine men. You place them one at a time, then slide them along the lines, and every time three of your men form a straight line, a mill, you remove one enemy man. Reduce your rival to two men, or block every one of their men so they cannot move, to win.
The game follows the real three phases: placing, moving, and flying, where a player who is down to three men may jump to any empty point. Match settings let you switch flying off or choose a quick six-men variant. Seven tavern opponents wait on the ladder, from Pip, who moves at random, through Maud and Thane, to Sir Bors and Old Warden, who search many moves deep and rarely waste a man. A daily challenge changes the rules each day: Siege starts with men already on the board, Open field lets you fly at four men, and Warband plays with six men each. Earn XP and coins, take hints, and unlock five board styles.
It is great for checkers and chess players who want a compact tactical puzzle, and for two players on one device. Tip: keep your men mobile, because a blocked man is a liability, and a mill you can open and close again is the strongest weapon in the game.
How to play
Place your men on empty points, then slide them along the lines to neighbouring empty points. When three of your men line up you make a mill and remove one enemy man (not from a mill, unless every man is in one). With three men left you can fly anywhere. Win by leaving your opponent with two men or no legal move. Beat each rival to unlock the next and clear the daily challenge for stars.
