Neon Snake is the timeless snake game rebuilt with a glowing neon trail that streaks across a midnight grid. Gobble pink energy orbs, grow longer and feel the speed climb with every level. It keeps the simple, addictive loop of the original while adding fresh risk-and-reward twists.

Every five orbs the level and speed go up. Golden bonus stars appear on a ticking timer, and the faster you reach them the more they are worth, which tempts you into risky shortcuts. From level 3 onward, magenta blocks begin appearing in the arena, with flashing outlines warning you where the next one will land, so the board grows tighter as your tail grows longer. Choose Solid walls for the classic challenge, or switch to wrap-around mode and slip through one edge to come out the opposite side.

This free online snake game is ideal for retro fans and anyone who wants a quick, focused high-score challenge. Buffered turns mean quick double-taps do what you meant, and you can steer with the keyboard on desktop or swipe and use a d-pad on mobile. Tip: keep your snake running along the edges and in neat loops, leaving open space in the middle for when the blocks start arriving.

How to play

Steer the snake to eat pink orbs, which make it longer and add points. Every five orbs raise the level and speed. Collect golden stars before their timer runs out for a bonus that grows the faster you reach them. Crashing into a wall (in Solid mode), a magenta block or your own tail ends the game. Steer with the arrow keys or WASD, or swipe or use the d-pad on touch screens.
