It is a calm, clever brain teaser with a satisfying moment of discovery on every board.
Your first click is always safe and opens up a clearing, so each game starts with something to work with. Choose Easy for a 9 by 9 board with 10 mines, Medium for the classic 16 by 16 with 40 mines, or Hard for a sprawling 30 by 16 field with 99 mines that flips to a tall layout on phones. Empty cells open their neighbours automatically, and chording lets you click a satisfied number to reveal all its other neighbours at once.
This free online mine sweeper game is for logic fans who enjoy pure deduction, with flag mode and long-press flagging for touch screens, plus a keyboard cursor on desktop. Best times are saved and Medium wins go on the leaderboard, fastest first. Tip: look for numbers whose remaining unopened cells exactly equal their count, because those cells are guaranteed mines.
How to play
Reveal every safe cell without touching a mine. Click or tap to reveal; each number shows how many of the eight surrounding cells contain mines. Flag suspected mines with right-click, long-press or Flag mode. Click a number with the right count of flags around it to open its other neighbours. Uncovering a mine ends the game, and clearing every safe cell wins. Arrows plus Space or F work too. Medium wins are ranked by time.
