Missing Vowels
Every vowel has been redacted from a word, name or phrase. Decode animals, foods, places and sayings with hints, thirty levels, a daily case with a streak and an endless Marathon.
Missing Vowels is a decoding puzzle where every A, E, I, O and U has been blacked out. A category such as Animals, Food and Drink, Places, Jobs or Phrases tells you what you are looking at, and you work out words like cat, kangaroo or break the ice from their consonants alone. It feels like cracking a case file, with paper, ink and a SOLVED stamp.
Early levels show black boxes where the vowels used to be, and you fill them in with the five vowel buttons. Later levels mostly remove the boxes, and you type the whole answer instead. A hint system helps when you are stuck: the first hint shows word lengths, the next reveals the boxes, and further hints fill in vowels, though each hint lowers the puzzle score. Wrong guesses, skips and timeouts cost a life, and finishing with all lives earns three stars. Thirty levels climb from short words to long phrases, the Daily Case is the same for everyone with a changing theme and a streak counter, and Marathon is an endless run with a shrinking clock.
Earn coins and experience, unlock seven paper themes and buy upgrades such as extra time, more free hints and spare lives. Three daily goals reward steady play. A good fit for crossword and trivia fans of all ages. Tip: look at the consonant pairs for clues, since TH, CH and ST often point to the right word.
How to play
Decode the word or phrase whose vowels were removed. Tap A, E, I, O or U to fill the black boxes, or type the whole answer when there are no boxes. Hints show lengths and fill vowels but cost points. Wrong answers, skips and timeouts cost a life.
