Lane Legion
A three-lane army strategy game with rock-paper-scissors units. Spend gold on swords, spears, archers and knights, counter the enemy warlord and smash their castle across ten realms.
Lane Legion is a real-time lane strategy game where every coin and every lane choice counts. Gold trickles in, and you spend it on swordsmen, spearmen, archers and armored knights, sending each one marching down one of three lanes toward the enemy castle. A rock-paper-scissors wheel decides fights: swords beat archers, spears beat knights, archers beat spears and knights beat swords, and a counter deals double damage.
The enemy commander is an adaptive computer opponent. It watches which lane is under the most pressure, answers your strongest unit type with its counter, backs its front line with archers and, from the second realm on, saves up for sudden pushes that crash into one lane. You can upgrade your gold mine for a stronger economy, call a Battle Cry to make your whole army faster and harder hitting, or fire a Volley that strikes every enemy in the lane you pick. Ten realms rise in difficulty, your castle only partly repairs between them, and your rank is saved from Recruit up to Warlord.
This lane defense and army strategy game suits anyone who likes thinking one step ahead in short, tense battles. Tip: do not just spam your favourite unit. Look at what is walking toward you, buy the counter, keep an archer behind your melee line, and save the Volley for a big lane push. Play with keyboard and mouse, or tap the cards and lanes on a phone in portrait or landscape.
How to play
Pick a unit card (1-4) then click or tap a lane (Q, W, E) to deploy it. Units march and fight on their own. Swords beat archers, spears beat knights, archers beat spears and knights beat swords for double damage. Upgrade your mine for more gold, use Battle Cry and Volley at the right moment, and destroy the enemy castle to clear a realm. Clear all ten realms; if your castle falls the run ends.
Controls
- 1-4: Pick unit: sword, spear, archer, knight
- Q / W / E or click / tap a lane: Deploy the picked unit in that lane
- U: Upgrade the gold mine
- B: Battle Cry: faster, stronger army
- V: Volley: damages enemies in the selected lane
- Tap cards and buttons: Same actions on touch screens
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
