Hyper Charge
Pilot a starfighter through a frozen crystal cavern in this side-scrolling shooter. Hold fire to charge a piercing beam, command a detachable Force Pod and break the Frost Heart boss.
Hyper Charge is a side-scrolling space shooter set inside an icy cavern of blue walls, hanging icicles and drifting snow. Tap fire for quick pellets, or hold it to charge a mega-beam through three power levels and release it to pierce every enemy in a line. Hitting three or more targets with one beam earns a PIERCE bonus, so timing your charge is the heart of the game.
Early on you pick up the Force Pod, an orb that blocks enemy bullets and fires alongside you. Attach it to the front for a spread shot, swing it to the back to cover your tail and shoot up and down, or launch it forward as a battering ram and call it home again. Snake formations, gun drones, armored crabs, proximity mines and wall turrets fill the tunnel, the cave narrows as you go and every stage ends with the Frost Heart, a tentacled boss whose armor opens only for a moment to expose its core.
This cave shooter suits players who enjoy classic charge-shot shmups and careful positioning. Clearing stages unlocks permanent perks: the Force Pod from the start, an extra shield and a faster beam charge. Tip: keep a full charge ready for when the boss core opens, because exposed hits deal double damage.
How to play
Fly through the cavern without touching the ice walls. Tap fire for pellets or hold it to charge a beam with three power levels, then release to fire a piercing blast. Collect the Force Pod: it blocks bullets and shoots with you, and the POD control launches or recalls it (touch it to re-attach at the front or back). Destroy whole formations for bonus points, grab shield and coin pickups, and defeat the Frost Heart boss at the end of each stage by hitting its core while it is open. Each hit costs a shield; the run ends when none are left.
