Escape the police through a neon-lit night city: drift around corners, grab cash, dodge roadblocks and spike strips, and trick cops into crashing.
Hot Pursuit is a top-down police chase game set in an endless night city of glowing windows, street lamps and wailing sirens. You start in a humble cab with the cops on your tail. Floor it down the grid, slide around corners with the handbrake and scoop up the cash scattered along the streets, while a radar shows every patrol car closing in.
The wanted level rises every 22 seconds, up to five stars. More stars mean more and faster cops, then roadblocks at the next intersection and spike strips that blow your tires. Cops can be beaten: lure them into each other for a pile-up, ram them into walls, or let them hit their own spikes, and each wreck pays a big bonus. Long drifts score extra points. Slow down while surrounded and the busted meter fills; take too many hits and your car is wrecked.
This endless car chase suits players who want quick, intense runs and a high score to beat. Cash you collect is banked across runs and unlocks faster getaway cars with more grip and armor. Tip: keep moving through intersections, because stopping near two cops is the fastest way to get busted.
How to play
Drive through the city, collect cash and survive as long as you can. The wanted level rises over time, bringing more cops, roadblocks and spike strips. Make cops crash into each other, walls or spikes for bonus points, and drift for extra score. The run ends if you are boxed in and busted or your car is wrecked. Banked cash unlocks new cars.
Controls
- Up / W: Accelerate
- Down / S: Brake and reverse
- Left / Right or A / D: Steer (also change car on the title screen)
- Space / Shift: Handbrake drift
- Touch: drag anywhere: Steer with automatic gas
- Touch: BRAKE button: Brake
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
- R / Space: Restart after a run
