Heist Shootout
A side-view cover shooter: guard a golden bank lobby, pop up to stop cartoon robbers, duck to reload, pick upgrades and bust the getaway van in wave 8.
Heist Shootout is a cartoon cover shooter set in a sunny marble bank lobby. You are the security guard behind a sturdy wooden desk, and wave after wave of striped-shirt robbers is sneaking in to grab the gold. Hold to pop out of cover and fire, let go to duck back down and reload. That simple rhythm of peeking, shooting and hiding turns into tense, satisfying shootouts where timing matters more than anything.
Each robber shows a red warning ring while he takes aim, so you can tag him first or duck just in time. New threats arrive as the waves climb: big guys in helmets need three hits, runners dash between counters and can be caught in the open, and dynamite throwers lob sticks you must shoot out of the air before they wreck your desk. Panicked tellers run through the crossfire, so watch your trigger finger, and shoot floating first-aid balloons to heal. Between waves you pick one of three upgrades, like a bigger magazine, faster reloads or a steel-plated desk. Wave 8 brings the getaway van with gunners in its windows and a health bar to chip down.
It is great for players who like reflex shooting with a little strategy. Tip: aim for the head for critical points and keep your hit streak alive to raise the score multiplier.
How to play
Hold to pop out of cover and shoot at the crosshair; release to duck, which protects you and reloads your gun. Shoot robbers before their red aim ring fills, or duck in time. Shoot dynamite out of the air, avoid hitting the running bank tellers, and shoot first-aid balloons to heal. Clear 8 waves, picking an upgrade after each, and destroy the getaway van to win. You lose when your hearts run out.
Controls
- Mouse: Aim; hold the button to pop out and shoot, release to duck and reload
- Space / Enter: Hold to pop out and shoot
- Arrow keys / WASD: Move the crosshair
- Touch: Hold and drag to aim and fire (crosshair sits above your finger), lift to duck
- 1 / 2 / 3: Pick an upgrade between waves
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
- R: Restart after game over
