Play the Daily puzzle, which is the same word for everyone on a given day, then keep going in Unlimited mode, where a fresh word is ready whenever you want one and every win extends your streak. Each guess must be a real word, and the on-screen keyboard keeps track of every letter you have ruled in or out. Turn on Hard mode and any revealed hint must be used in your later guesses, which makes each attempt much more demanding.

This free online word guessing game is for puzzle fans who enjoy a quick brain warm-up on a laptop or phone. Stats, guess distribution and streaks are saved on your device, and a high-contrast palette makes the tiles easier to read. Tip: open with a word that uses several common vowels and consonants, then use guess two to test fresh letters.

How to play

Find the hidden five-letter word in six guesses or fewer. Type a real word with the keyboard or on-screen keys and press Enter; teal tiles are correct, amber tiles are in the word but misplaced and grey tiles are not in it. Daily mode offers one word per day, while Unlimited serves new words and builds a win streak, which is your score. Backspace deletes a letter and Esc pauses.
