Four in a Row is a classic gravity-drop strategy game in bright toy-box colours. Drop red and yellow discs into a seven-column grid and be the first to line up four, across, down or diagonally. It is simple enough for anyone to play, yet full of clever traps and forced moves.
Each disc falls to the lowest free slot, so you are always thinking about which spaces you open up for your opponent. The computer comes in three difficulties, from a friendly Easy bot to a Hard opponent that searches many moves ahead and punishes careless drops. Starting player alternates every round, a running tally tracks the score, and your win streak against each difficulty is saved. Against the computer you can undo your last move to learn from mistakes.
This free two-player disc-dropping game is perfect for families and friends sharing one screen, or for a quick solo brain workout against the computer. Tap or click a column on desktop or mobile, or use the arrow keys and number keys. Tip: claim the middle column early, because it is part of more possible winning lines than any other column on the board.
How to play
Drop discs into the grid and line up four of your colour in a straight line horizontally, vertically or diagonally before your opponent does. A full grid with no line is a draw. Click or tap a column to drop a disc into its lowest free slot, or use Left/Right and Space or Enter, or press 1-7 to drop straight into a column. Against the computer, U undoes your last move.
