Forty Thieves Solitaire
Two-deck Forty Thieves solitaire with a 60-level ladder of deals that each come with a verified winning line, a daily deal with a streak, hints, undo, stars and hideout card themes to unlock.
Forty Thieves Solitaire is a two-deck patience game with a reputation for being hard, rebuilt here as a friendly ladder you can actually climb. Ten columns start with four cards each, and eight foundations wait at the top for suits to be built from Ace to King. You build down in the same suit on the columns, one card at a time, and you may turn over the stock card by card, once through. Every card is drawn in code, with deal and flip animations and a bouncing-card finish.
Forty Thieves is hard because many random deals cannot be won. Here every ladder level, random deal and daily deal is built so that a winning line exists, and each one has been verified by replaying a full solution under the game rules. The sixty levels run through six chapters from Camp Fire to Master Thief. The first levels start with most of the foundations already built, then the table gets steadily tighter, and the last chapter holds some real puzzles. Stars reward a win with few hints and undos and a quick finish.
Short daily goals, a daily deal with its own best time and streak, coins and experience unlock new card backs and tables. Undo is unlimited, the hint button looks for a winning line, and an auto-finish button appears once the stock is used up. It is for solitaire fans who want a deeper challenge. Tip: do not bury the Aces and Twos of a suit under cards you cannot move.
How to play
Two decks. Build all eight foundations from Ace up to King, by suit. On the ten columns, build down in the same suit, moving one card at a time; any card may go into an empty column. Tap the stock to turn over the next card; there is only one pass through the stock. Win by getting all 104 cards home.
Controls
- Drag & drop: Move the top card of a column or the waste card
- Tap a card: Send it home or to its best column
- Tap stock / Space: Turn over the next card
- U / Z: Undo
- H: Hint (shows a winning line when one is found)
- A: Auto-finish once the stock is used up
