Crack a hidden five-letter word in six guesses with colour feedback. Every puzzle has a theme like Animals or Food, and hint powers can reveal a letter or cross out five. Play the daily theme or a Theme Run.
Five Letter Guess is a five-letter word guessing game with a twist: every secret word belongs to a theme. Type a word, get teal tiles for letters in the right spot, gold for letters in the wrong spot and grey for letters that are not in the word, then use the theme as your clue. Today's theme might be Animals, Food and Drink or Sports, and it changes every day at midnight UTC.
There are two ways to play. Daily Theme gives you one puzzle per day with six guesses and a star rating, and it keeps a day streak that pays out bonus coins. Theme Run chains puzzles one after another with three strikes, a growing chain bonus and a mixed, wild-card or single-theme category of your choice. When you are stuck, spend a hint to reveal one letter in its place or to cross out five letters that are not in the word. Hints cost points, so use them wisely, and earn more with streaks, daily wins or coins.
Playing earns XP and levels. New levels unlock theme packs such as Nature, Home, Body and Music, plus colourful looks like Mint Fizz and Midnight Ink, and three daily goals pay extra coins. It is a relaxed brain game for word puzzle fans who want a fresh daily challenge. Tip: start with a word that mixes common vowels and consonants, and let the theme narrow your next guess.
How to play
Guess the hidden five-letter word in six tries. Teal means right letter and spot, gold means right letter in the wrong spot, grey means not in the word. Use the puzzle theme as a clue, and spend hints to reveal a letter or cross out five letters. Solve faster with fewer hints for a higher score; in Theme Run, three failed puzzles end your run.
Controls
- Keyboard: Type letters, Enter to guess, Backspace to delete
- Mouse / tap: Use the on-screen keyboard and the Hint button
- Esc: Pause (or close the hint panel)
- R / Enter: Play again from the results screen
