Drone Swarm
Lead a hive of flocking drones that auto-fire, recruit strays to grow the swarm, and switch between a tight focus beam and a ramming spread shield against waves of pests.
Drone Swarm turns a shooter inside out: you do not fly a ship, you lead a hive. Steer a glowing honeycomb core through a sunny meadow while a flocking cloud of amber drones orbits around you and fires on its own. Every grey stray drone you scoop up joins the swarm, so the cloud grows from a handful to dozens, and watching it swirl around a bug-like pest is the heart of this swarm shooter.
The twist is the focus switch. Hold it and the drones snap into a tight beam of fire that deals double damage and reaches farther, but leaves your flanks open. Release it and they spread out into a ramming shield that smashes into anything close, at the cost of shooting less often. Pests arrive from every edge: mites that rush you, wasps that charge after a warning shimmer, spitters that lob green spreads, armored beetles, and hive nests that spawn more mites. Every thirty seconds the hive level rises, and you collect swarm milestones for bonus points. Lifetime hive XP is saved between runs, and each rank gives a larger starting swarm and eventually an extra core heart.
It suits anyone who enjoys auto-fire survival games, crowd control and high-score chasing, on keyboard, mouse or touch. Tip: keep the core near the edge of the screen so you can retreat, recruit strays between waves, and switch to focus the moment a beetle or nest appears.
How to play
Steer the hive core with WASD, the arrow keys, the mouse or the touch stick. Your drones fly around the core and shoot automatically. Fly into grey stray drones to recruit them. Hold focus for a tight, double damage beam, or release to spread into a ramming shield. Avoid pests and spit, collect hearts, and survive as long as you can. The run ends when all core hearts are lost.
