Dragon Flight
Fly a fire-breathing dragon over a twilight kingdom, torch knights, archers, towers and harpies, manage your heat meter and spend gold on lair upgrades.
Dragon Flight is a side-scrolling action game where you play the dragon. Hold to flap upward and release to glide, while you breathe a stream of fire at the kingdom below. Knights march, archers loose arrows, ballistas lock on with red sights and stone towers fire volleys. Harpies dive from the sky straight at you, and every enemy you burn builds a streak multiplier that makes each kill worth more.
Fire has a cost: your heat meter climbs while you breathe, and if it maxes out you overheat and cannot breathe fire for a couple of seconds. Arrows burn up in your flames, but ballista bolts do not, so you have to dodge them. The longer you fly, the faster the land scrolls and the thicker the defences get. Roughly every 75 seconds a massive keep rolls in with a health bar and a five-arrow volley; razing it is worth a huge bonus and heals you. Burned sheep are a snack that restores a heart.
Every run earns gold, which you spend on the title screen in your lair: a cooler belly for slower heat build-up, a longer flame, and extra hearts through iron scales. These upgrades are saved on your device. It suits fans of flying shooters and arcade scorchers. Tip: tap fire in short bursts to keep heat low, and stay above the arrow arcs.
How to play
Hold Up, W or the left mouse button (or the FLAP button) to flap and rise; release to glide down. Hold Space, X or the right mouse button (or the FIRE button) to breathe fire at enemies. Watch the heat bar: overheating disables your fire for a moment. Dodge arrows and bolts, avoid flying into towers, and burn sheep to heal. Gold from each run buys permanent lair upgrades. The run ends when your hearts are gone.
