Dinosaur Quiz is a prehistoric trivia game for anyone who has ever wondered what lived before us. More than 330 questions cover meat-eating dinosaurs, plant-eaters, sea reptiles, flying reptiles and ice age animals, plus fossils and the story of Earth's long past. Many questions show a silhouette drawn by the game itself, so you can name a Triceratops, a Pteranodon or a woolly mammoth from its outline, tell teeth apart, read a timeline of the dinosaur periods or identify a fossil such as an ammonite. You will also meet true or false, put-in-order and matching puzzles.
A run is up to five rounds of eight questions, set against a changing scene from sandy deserts to volcano dusk and snow. You have three hearts, a timer on every question and three lifelines: 50:50, skip and freeze. Faster answers score more, streaks multiply your points, and every right answer leaves a footprint on your trail. Answer four different topics in a row for a Time travel bonus, and a perfect round wins a heart back.
Species you identify are added to your own fossil museum, which shows all sixteen silhouettes and fills in as you learn them. Mastery unlocks titles from Dino Beginner to Prehistoric Legend, and you also earn ranks, coins for new looks and perks, three daily goals and a daily dig with stars and a streak. It suits young dinosaur fans, families and teachers. Tip: remember which animals were not dinosaurs at all.
How to play
Answer each question before the timer bar runs out. Faster answers and streaks score more. A wrong answer or timeout costs a heart. Use 50:50, skip or freeze when stuck. Complete five rounds of eight questions, or play the daily dig of ten questions with no hearts to lose.
