Crumble Hop
Hop across sandy tiles floating on the sea, grab gems before the island collapses, and hop to the beat to build a multiplier while crabs chase you onto crumbling cracks.
Crumble Hop is a grid-hopping arcade game where the floor really is leaving. You play a little sprout-topped blob on an island of sandy tiles floating in a bright blue sea. Every tile you leave cracks and then falls away, so you can never stand still and never retrace your steps for long. Collect the gems scattered across the island to clear it and move on to the next one.
The island also shrinks from the outside in, with the edge ring warning you in red before it drops. Crabs hop after you on the beat of the music: plain crabs chase, purple crackers crack the tile they leave, and orange leapers jump two tiles at a time. Lure them onto cracked tiles and they plunge into the sea for points. Bombs blast an entire row and column, clearing enemies and collecting gems. Hop in time with the beat and your multiplier climbs up to x8, but it fades if you lose the rhythm. Standing still for too long cracks your own tile.
Progress is saved: each time you reach a new checkpoint island you can start future runs from it using the arrows on the title screen. It is a good fit for fans of rhythm-flavored puzzle action and quick arcade runs. Tip: plan a route that leaves cracked tiles between you and the crabs.
How to play
Hop one tile at a time with the arrow keys or WASD, or click or tap a tile next to you; hold to keep hopping. Tiles you leave crack and fall, and the island edge collapses over time. Collect enough gems to clear each island. Hop on the beat to raise your score multiplier, drop crabs onto cracked tiles and use bombs to blast a whole row and column. You lose a life when a crab touches you or you fall; lose three and the run ends.
