Cribbage Board is the classic two-player card game played against a computer opponent, with a hand-drawn wooden peg board that tracks every point. Each hand you are dealt six cards, keep four and send two to the crib, the bonus hand that belongs to the dealer. A starter card is cut from the deck, then you take turns playing cards in a running count up to 31, pegging points for fifteens, pairs, runs and the last card.
After the cards are played, every hand is counted with the starter: fifteens, pairs, runs, flushes and nobs. The game counts for you and calls out each combination as it scores, so beginners learn the maths while experts can check their own count. Your pegs and your opponent's pegs race round the board to the last hole. Opponents play at three levels: Easy discards carelessly, Normal keeps the best hand, and Hard also plays the crib and avoids leaving you easy pegging points. Win games to climb eight tables, from a quick race to 31 up to full 121-point games with rule twists such as triple-value fifteens, and collect chips, ranks, card backs and felts. A daily challenge brings a fixed deal and a twist.
It suits cribbage fans, card players who like counting games and anyone who wants to learn this classic pegging game. Tip: as dealer, send 5s and pairs to your own crib, but keep them out of your opponent's.
How to play
Keep four of your six cards and send two to the crib (the dealer's bonus hand). After the starter card is cut, take turns playing cards to a running count of 31: exactly 15 or 31 scores 2, pairs and runs score too, and the last card scores 1. Then count each hand with the starter for fifteens, pairs, runs, flushes and nobs. First to the last hole on the board wins.
Controls
- Mouse / tap: Tap two cards then TO CRIB; tap a card to play it while pegging (on touch tap once to lift, again to play); tap the deck to cut
- Left / Right + Space: Move along your hand and select a card
- Enter: Confirm the crib discard, play the selected card, cut the deck or continue counting
- H: Hint (limited per game)
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
- R: Play again after a game
