Core Guardian
Rotate a turret on a desert tactical map to defend your core from waves of drones, tanks and gunships, choose field upgrades between waves and stop the Warlord.
Core Guardian is a wave defense shooter played on a sun-bleached tactical map. Your core sits in the middle with a single rotating turret, and hostiles close in from every direction: darting runners, armored tanks, gunships that hover at range and shell you, and swarms of tiny drones. Aim, hold fire and keep everything off the core, because every unit that reaches it chips away at your hit points.
Each wave sends more enemies with more health, and new types join along the way. After every cleared wave you choose one of three field upgrades: rapid feed, armor-piercing rounds, penetrating shots, explosive splash shells, extra barrels, crit targeting, a tougher core, regeneration or an emergency repair, which is always offered when the core is badly damaged. Every fifth wave a spiked Warlord rolls in with a siren warning, firing five-shot fans while its escort keeps pushing. You can shoot enemy bullets out of the air. Your best score, best wave held and military rank are saved between runs.
It suits players who enjoy turret defense and roguelite build choices in quick sessions. Tip: an early splash or pierce upgrade makes the later swarm waves far easier.
How to play
Aim the turret at incoming enemies and hold fire to shoot them before they reach the core in the center. Enemies and their bullets damage the core; the run ends when its health hits zero. Clear a wave to pick one of three upgrades. Every fifth wave a Warlord boss attacks. Score points for every kill, multiplied by the wave number.
