Castle Archer is a slingshot-style archery defense game set on a castle wall at dusk. Pull back anywhere on the screen, watch the dotted arc and let fly at the horde marching toward your gate. Every arrow follows real gravity, so lobbing a long shot over a shielded soldier onto the head of a runner behind him feels great every single time.
Waves start gently with a handful of slow walkers, then mix in sprinting raiders, shield bearers whose shields crack after a few hits, flapping wyverns that dive from the sky and club-swinging giants that soak up arrows. Enemies get tougher and quicker as the wave count rises. After each wave you hold, choose one of three upgrades: twin shot, broadheads, quick draw, piercing arrows, fire arrows that scorch nearby foes, eagle eye, stone mason walls or a quick patch-up. Headshots score triple, kill streaks add bonus points and your best wave earns a saved rank, from Recruit up to Legend.
This bow and arrow tower defense game suits anyone who enjoys skill shots and steady progression in short sessions. Tip: aim for heads early, since a headshot deals extra damage, and take piercing before the giants arrive in wave five.
How to play
Drag back anywhere and release to shoot; the dotted arc shows where the arrow will fly. Stop the enemies before they batter your wall down. Headshots deal extra damage and score triple, and streaks add bonus points. After each cleared wave pick one of three upgrades. The run ends when the wall reaches zero.
Controls
- Mouse drag / touch drag: Pull back to aim, release to shoot
- Up / Down or W / S: Raise or lower your aim
- Hold Space: Draw the bow, release to shoot
- 1 / 2 / 3 or click / tap: Choose an upgrade between waves
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute sound
- R / Space: Restart after the wall falls
