Card Crusade
A deck-building adventure: march across three acts, play attack, skill and power cards against monsters, pick new cards and relics after each battle, and defeat the boss of every act.
Card Crusade is a single-player deck-building strategy game. You lead a crusader along a branching map of battles, elite fights, mystery events, camps, merchants and treasure chests. Every fight is a turn-based card duel: you draw five cards, spend three energy to play attacks, blocks and powers, and watch the intent icon above each monster to see whether it will strike, defend or cast a curse before you end your turn.
After each battle you add one of three new cards to your deck, spend gold with the merchant, upgrade a card at camp or remove weak cards. Relics give permanent bonuses such as extra energy, starting block or poison on your first attack. Statuses like Strength, Weak, Vulnerable and Poison reward careful sequencing. Three acts end with a boss, the Hollow King, the Storm Wyrm and the Eclipse Dragon, and winning unlocks higher Heat levels with tougher monsters and bigger scores. Your run is saved, so you can continue later.
Between runs you earn rank experience and coins for permanent perks such as extra starting HP or gold and colour schemes for your knight. Each day brings three small goals and a one-act daily trial with its own twist, such as a light pack or a trial by fire, plus a streak bonus. Tip: thin your deck at the merchant and watch enemy intents before spending energy on defence.
How to play
Tap a card to select it, then tap an enemy to play it, or drag it up. Cards cost energy; end your turn when you are done. Enemies show their next move above their heads. Win battles to earn gold, new cards and relics, then choose your path on the map. Lose all your HP and the run ends. Defeat the boss of each act to win. Score comes from floors cleared, battles won and bosses beaten.
Controls
- Mouse / tap: Select a card, then a target; drag cards up to play
- 1-9: Select a card in your hand
- Left / Right: Change target
- Enter / Space: Play the selected card
- E: End turn
- V / Tab: View your deck
- Enter / D / U: Title: play, daily trial, perks
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
