Drop a pin on the map where each capital city sits. The closer you land, the more points you earn, with fuel to protect, continents to unlock and a fresh daily route every day.
Pin the Capital is a geography map game where you place a pin on the exact spot of a world capital. You see a city name such as Nairobi, Helsinki or Lima, then tap or click the map where you think it sits. The closer your pin lands, the more points you score, and a perfect bullseye pays a bonus. It is a pin-the-city quiz with a hand-drawn atlas, a little plane that flies to each answer, and instant feedback showing how many kilometres you missed by.
Every tour is split into legs. Each leg covers one continent with eight pins, a countdown for every city and three fuel tanks. Land a pin far from the target and you lose fuel, while a chain of close pins raises your streak multiplier. Finish a leg to earn passport stars and unlock the next continent, then take on three Grand Tour legs across the whole planet with tighter scoring ranges and shorter clocks. A new daily route appears each day with a twist such as a hidden map or a seven second timer. Daily goals, streak rewards, ranks and coins unlock a pin radar, spare fuel tanks and new plane skins.
Pin the Capital suits geography fans, students and anyone who enjoys quick brain-boost quiz games on desktop or phone. Tip: learn the coastline shapes first, use neighbouring countries as landmarks, and on touch screens drag the pin to fine tune before pressing Lock In.
How to play
A city name appears at the top of the screen. Tap or click the map where you think that capital is. On touch screens drag the pin to adjust, then press Lock In. Closer pins score more points, bullseyes earn a bonus and a streak of close pins raises your multiplier. A pin that lands far away costs one fuel tank, and running out of fuel ends the flight. Complete a leg to earn passport stars and unlock the next continent, or play the daily route for bonus stars.
Controls
- Mouse / tap: Click or tap the map to drop your pin (touch: drag to adjust, then Lock In)
- Enter / Space: Lock in the pin or continue
- Arrow keys: Move the pin without a mouse (Shift for big steps)
- H: Use the pin radar once you own it
- D: Start the daily route from the title screen
- S: Open the shop from the title screen
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
