Bun Bakery Idle is a cozy bakery clicker game where a giant smiling bun is your first and best employee. Tap it to bake, watch the counter climb from a handful of buns to billions, and spend your dough on nine kinds of helpers, from a humble Apprentice and a Brick Oven up to a Yeast Portal and a Time Oven. Every helper you own bobs along the counter and fresh buns roll down the conveyor, so you can see your bakery working.
Tapping fast heats the oven. Fill the Oven Heat meter to start a Hot Streak that triples every tap. Golden buns float in now and then: catch one for a baking Frenzy, a lucky batch or a Tap Storm. Owning 25, 50, 100 or more of a helper doubles its output, and sixty upgrades unlock as you bake, including tap boosts, longer golden effects and better away earnings. Your bakery saves automatically and keeps baking for up to two hours while you are away, more with upgrades.
When growth slows, franchise the bakery. You start fresh but keep Golden Whisks, each adding ten percent to all baking, plus trophies and franchise perks. This idle tycoon suits anyone who likes steady number growth with a little tapping. Tip: buy the cheap tap upgrades first, then save for Bun Vans.
How to play
Tap or click the big bun to bake buns. Spend buns on helpers in the Helpers tab; they bake automatically every second. Buy upgrades as they unlock to double helpers or boost taps. Tap quickly to fill the Oven Heat meter for a Hot Streak, and catch golden buns for bonuses. Once you have baked enough, open the Franchise tab and franchise the bakery: the run ends, your score is the Golden Whisks earned, and the next bakery starts with a permanent bonus. Progress saves automatically and you earn buns while away.
Controls
- Mouse / tap: Tap the bun to bake, tap cards to buy, drag or scroll the shop
- Space / Enter: Bake (tap the bun)
- 1-9: Buy a helper
- B: Change buy amount (x1, x10, max)
- U: Buy the cheapest affordable upgrade
- Tab / Arrow keys: Switch shop tabs and scroll
- F: Open the franchise prompt
- P / Esc: Pause
- M: Mute
- R: New bakery after franchising
