Boomerang Knight
Defend a sunlit castle courtyard with a single thrown shield that ricochets off pillars, strikes every goblin in its path and flies back to your hand.
Boomerang Knight is a top-down arena action game where your only weapon is your shield. Throw it and it ricochets off the courtyard walls and stone pillars, smacking every goblin it passes before curving back to you. Catch it and you burst forward in a short dash, banking a bonus for every enemy that throw hit. The catch is simple and tense: while the shield is out you are completely defenceless.
Goblins pour in through four gates in waves. Grunts rush you, archers keep their distance and loose arrows that a held shield can block, armoured soldiers turn their shields toward you so they must be hit from behind, chargers wind up and stampede, and every fifth wave an ogre boss stomps in. Each wave adds more foes, the pillar layout changes every three waves, and after every third wave you choose one of three perks such as extra ricochets, a faster throw, a wider shield, more hearts or a damaging catch dash.
It is a good pick for fans of arena brawlers and trick shots who enjoy planning angles. Your furthest wave is saved between runs. Tip: aim for long diagonal bank shots through a crowd, then recall the shield early so it sweeps them a second time on the way back.
How to play
Move with WASD or the arrow keys and aim with the mouse. Click or press Space to throw your shield; press again to recall it. The shield bounces off walls, hits every enemy it touches and returns to you; catching it gives a dash and a multi-hit bonus. Armoured foes only take hits from behind. Survive as many waves as you can: enemies and arrows cost hearts, and the run ends when they are gone. Every three waves, pick a perk.
