Asteroid Storm is a retro space shooter where you pilot a lone vector ship through a field of glowing rocks. Every rock you hit cracks into smaller, faster pieces, so a calm screen can turn into a dangerous swarm in seconds. Its floaty, inertia-driven handling makes every escape feel earned.
Your ship drifts after you stop thrusting and wraps around the edges of the screen, so you have to plan each burst of speed rather than steer like a car. Large rocks split into medium ones, medium into small, and small ones turn to dust, with the smallest pieces paying the most. Hostile saucers drop in to take shots at you, and the small saucers aim. When you are cornered, hyperspace throws you to a random spot, though it can malfunction. Clear the field and a bigger wave begins.
This free online asteroid shooter suits anyone who loves classic arcade games and high-score chasing. It supports keyboard, mouse and an on-screen stick with buttons, so you can play on desktop or mobile. You start with three ships and earn another every 10,000 points. Tip: break big rocks one at a time instead of spraying shots, so the screen never fills with fast fragments at once.
How to play
Rotate, thrust and fire to blast rocks into dust and shoot down saucers. Large rocks are worth 20 points, medium 50, small 100, large saucers 200 and small saucers 1,000. Clear every rock to start the next wave. You have three ships, gain another every 10,000 points, and the game ends when the last one is destroyed. Use the arrows or A/D to rotate, Up or W to thrust, Space to fire and Shift to jump into hyperspace.
