Abalone Push
Slide rows of glass marbles across a hexagon board and shove a shorter enemy row over the edge. Face a seven-rung ladder, solve a daily scrambled skirmish, or play a friend.
Abalone Push is a marble-pushing strategy game played on a hexagonal board of round holes. Each side starts with a pair of tight rows of shiny glass marbles, and on your turn you slide a row of one, two or three of your own marbles one step in any direction. Move along the row to push, or sidestep across to reposition. If your row is longer than the enemy row in front of it, you shove it back, and a marble pushed over the edge is gone for good. Push off enough marbles and you win.
The compact mini board has nine marbles per side and needs three pushes, so early matches are quick. Beat the first opponent to unlock the classic fourteen-marble board, where six pushes are needed and games are longer and deeper. The seven computer opponents climb from Sprout, who shoves at random, to Abyss, who searches several moves ahead. You also get undo, paid hints, five marble and board styles, XP levels, coins, daily goals and a streak bonus. The Daily Skirmish starts from a freshly scrambled mid-game board and awards up to three stars.
It suits players who like abstract two-player games with simple rules and tactical depth, solo or with a friend on the same screen. Tip: keep your marbles in tight groups near the middle, because a lone marble on the edge is the easiest to push away.
How to play
Tap one of your marbles, then tap neighbouring marbles in the same line to add them, up to three. Tap a glowing target to slide the row one step. Moving along the row pushes an enemy row if yours is longer. Push enough enemy marbles off the board to win, and stop yours being pushed off.
